QUANTUM'S 340LPH DIRECT DROP-IN FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY DOES AWAY WITH THE UNRELIABLE AND PROBLEMATIC VENTURI CANISTER DESIGN FOUND IN 1996-2005 GM TRUCKS AND SUV'S.  INSTALLING A HIGH VOLUME PUMP INTO AN OEM GM CANISTER PREVIOUSLY REQUIRED DISABLING THE VENTURI SYSTEM, WHICH MEANS THE CANISTER COULD STAY FULL, AND THE TANK HAD TO BE KEPT AT 1/4 - 1/2 FULL TO PREVENT FUEL PUMP STARVATION UNDER HARD ACCELERATION OR CORNERING.  THE QUANTUM 340LPH CANISTER DESIGN ALLOWS FULL OEM FUNCTIONALITY--TANK CAN BE RUN DOWN TO EMPTY JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL.  THESE 340LPH ASSEMBLIES CAN ALSO BE USED ON STOCK MOTORS UNTIL ENGINE SWAP HAS BEEN COMPLETED--THEY WILL NOT OVERPOWER FACTORY FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR.
