Replacement Full Length Guide Rod for the Colt Rail Gun, GI and Gold Gup 1911-22 Pistols made by Walther/Umarex
The NicTaylor00 full length guide rod is a simple drop in part for your Colt 1911-22 Gold Cup, Railgun and Government (GI) versions.  Each guiderod comes with a stainless steel spring plug and two (2) replaceable recoil buffers.  The stainless steel guide rod is machined from a single piece of stainless steel with a base that is slightly thinner than the factory guide rod.  This allows the use of a recoil buffer (blue washer) to be used with the full length guide rod to help reduce wear on the slide.  The recoil buffers will not work with the stock guide rod, only the NicTaylor00 full length. This guide rod works with factory recoil springs so there is no need for a different spring.

INSTALLATION
1) Remove slide stop
2) Depress spring plug and turn barrel bushing to release spring plug
2) Remove spring, spring plug and bushing
4) Pull slide rearward and lift rear of the slide up and off frame
5) Remove factory guide rod
6) Slide included recoil buffer over the end of the full length guide rod.
7) Insert full length guide rod into place
8) Install slide in reverse order
9) Insert slide stop (the end of the guide rod might be in the way, just tilt the pistol barrel down some to slide it out of the way
10 Insert bushing and c
ompress recoil spring and insert spring plug and return barrel bushing to original orientation.
